FITT Resources has now entered an exclusive Australian and New Zealand distribution arrangement with the leading German manufacturer HÜDIG.
We are now the exclusive Australian and New Zealand distributors of HÜDIG dewatering equipment, most notably its industry leading HC488 electrical vacuum pump and HC522 diesel vacuum pump. These machines have proven themselves around the world to be ideal for application in a wide variety of industries and sectors, and we are proud to be able to now make these high grade and versatile pumps available to the Australian dewatering industry.
Who are HÜDIG?
HÜDIG has been in operation since 1902, specialising in its early years in producing components for irrigation in agriculture, including pioneering the utilisation of wastewater for the irrigation of crops. They then moved into the production of automatic sprinklers and developing other tools for use in agriculture, including irrigation cannons.
After first beginning to produce pipes and pumps in the years between the wars, in the 1960s HÜDIG also began to manufacture dewatering equipment, and its reputation since that time has been based on producing machinery that is known for outstanding reliability and low operating and maintenance costs.

FITT Resources supplies the new series HC488 electrical vacuum pump, a top-of-the-range machine that is optimised for high performance and operating efficiency, and has been designed with operator safety in mind. Stand out features of HÜDIG HC488 electrical vacuum pump include:
- A rotary vacuum pump which operates on a circulation lubrication system, increasing efficiency and the ability to operate effectively in extreme temperatures and conditions.
- Air separation chamber, which is hot galvanised and so has greater resistance to corrosion, resulting in longer operating life.
- Switch board featuring a phase protective relay to ensure that the electric motors always operate in the correct direction.
- The HÜDIG HC488 electrical vacuum pump unit features a Grindex submersible pump, which has its own reputation as a market leader and is also part of FITT Resources’ exclusive product distribution offering.
- Applications include well point dewatering, trench dewatering, general sumping and bypass.

FITT Resources also now stocks the HÜDIG HC522 diesel vacuum pump which is a valuable piece of equipment for use in the Australian and New Zealand building, rental, construction and maintenance industries.
Valued for its high vacuum strength and ability to convey sandy groundwater, this robust machine includes a range of features such as:
- Mounted on a chassis with an integrated fuel tank.
- Fuel tank with a tank volume of 511 litres, enough for 12 days’ continuous duty without maintenance.
- Double-walled tank to prevent accidental fuel and oil spillage.
- Dry running rotary vacuum generators which are able to run at any pressure and in extreme weather conditions.
- Self-priming wastewater pump.
